ArticlesDO YOU HAVE BINGE-EATING DISORDER: THE BED TEST This is a test to see if you have binge-eating disorder. One disadvantage of diagnostic tests is that they place people into categories of either having or not having a particular problem. Keep in mind that there are variations of every problem and that your binge-eating syndrome may be severe, moderate, or even mild. Even if you only have some of the symptoms of binge-eating disorder, you may still need help. If your binge eating, no matter how infrequent, keeps you from achieving your weight goal, you need help as much as a more severe binger. IMPORTANT NOTE: The diagnosis of binge-eating disorder assumes that you do not regularly engage in any of the following behaviors. If you do any of these twice a week or more, you may be suffering from bulimia nervosa. This problem is more serious than binge-eating disorder and would require an evaluation by a clinic or a professional specializing in eating disorders.
